NAC/SETAC Student Participation

The current NAC student member to our governing board position is open.
 

Annual Meeting Student Travel Awards

NAC will award up to $100 to qualifying students for travel to our annual meeting.  This award is to be used to defray accommodation, meal, registration, and transportation costs for attending the annual meeting.  Requests are to be submitted by established deadline of May 17th for consideration.  For more information on the student travel award and to submit application for the NACSETAC Annual Meeting please contact:

Qualifying Criteria for Student Travel Awards

  1. The individual must currently be a student and provide academic school information with travel award request.
  2. The individual should submit a letter from their advisor with the travel award request.
  3. Complete the Student Travel Award request form and submit by deadline of May 17th.
  4. Amounts awarded to qualifying student travel recipients may vary depending upon distance traveled and duration of attendance at the meeting.

Annual Meeting Student Poster & Platform Contests

Best Student Poster / Best Student Platform Presentations

Montgomery & Associates, Inc. will sponsor a $100 award each to Best Student Poster and Best Student Platform presentations.  For more information please contact Cheryl Montgomery at crmontg@m-assoc.com or (617) 648-0835.

Qualifying Criteria for Student Poster & Platform Awards

  1. The individual must have been the principal investigator on the work.
  2. The individual must have been an active student within the last year.
  3. The individual must present his/her own work.
  4. Poster presenters must attend the entire poster session & be available for questions.
  5. Presentations will be evaluated according to SETAC criteria listed at:
        Platform presentations:  Platform Judging (PDF) 
        Poster presentations:  Poster Judging (PDF)

NOTE:  SETAC also awards $100 to each of our Best Student Poster and Platform Award winners.


Best Student First-Time Poster / Best Student First-Time Platform Presentations

NAC/SETAC will sponsor a $100 award each to the Best Poster and Platform presentations by a First-time student presenter at a NAC/SETAC meeting.  For more information please contact Mike Thompson at mike@penobscotenvironmental.com (Phone: 207-653-2452).

Qualifying Criteria for Student Poster & Platform Awards

  1. The individual must have been the principal investigator on the work.
  2. The individual must have been an active student within the last year.
  3. The individual must present his/her own work and be a first time presenter at a NAC/SETAC meeting.  Clarification:  Must not have presented in the category (platform or poster) at other scientific national, regional, or local meetings.
  4. Poster presenters must attend the entire poster session & be available for questions.
