2008 CALL FOR PAPERS & MEETING
INFORMATION
ABSTRACTS FOR PLATFORM
PRESENTATIONS ARE FULL.
ABSTRACTS FOR POSTER PRESENTATIONS WILL BE
ACCEPTED UNTIL MAY 10th.
The Chapter is soliciting platform and poster papers
dealing with all aspects of environmental toxicology, environmental chemistry,
& ecological risk assessment.
Special sessions will be organized on
any of the following topic areas, session chairs will be listed as these
sessions develop:
- Mercury in the Aquatic Environment

- Regional Endangered Species Issues
(Co-chairs, Alan Parsons, pegllc@comcast.net, &

- Emerging Contaminants
(Chair, Diane Nacci, nacci.diane@epa.gov)
- Invertebrates and Pollution
(Chair, Peg Pelletier, pelletier.peg@epa.gov)
- Maine Local/Regional Issues
(Chair, Janet Robinson,
jrobinson@woodardcurran.com)
NOTE: You do not have
to be a member of SETAC or NAC to present a paper or poster.
Platform presentations will be
20 minutes in duration, including five minutes for questions and discussion.
Posters will be presented on Thursday afternoon/evening at the Social Mixer.
Titles and abstracts of work be considered for platform presentations have
CLOSED and poster presentations will close on May 10, 2008. Selection of abstracts for presentation will be made by the
Program Committee. Authors will be notified as abstracts are accepted. Final
versions of abstracts will be posted in the website agenda and program handouts.
To keep this meeting on schedule and avoid
any problems, session chairs should be in receipt of all electronic presentation materials before
May 25th.

Instructions for Abstract Preparation and Submittal
Please submit
abstracts in electronic format (WordPerfect or Microsoft Word) on data
stick, CD, or by e-mail. Data sticks & CDs will be returned at the meeting.
Limit abstracts to 250 words or less (including
authors and affiliations).
The first line of the abstract
should contain the title in BOLD CAPITAL letters, followed by the author(s) and
address(es). Underscore the presenter's name. Skip one line and begin the text
(see example).
At the bottom of the page, type the name, address,
telephone, fax, and e-mail address of the presenting author. Indicate preference for
platform or poster, and willingness to convert from one format to another. Also indicate
if you wish to compete for the student paper, poster, and travel awards.
Mail final
version of presentation on data stick, CD, or e-mail by 25 May 2008 to your
session chair or meeting chair, Mike Thompson,
mike@penobscotenvironmental.com.
